TEHRAN -- Tehran Friday prayers leader Hojjatoleslam Kazem Sediqi has said that the United States has always been a supporter of the world’s dictators.

“The U.S. has brought the world’s dictators to power and has always supported them. And now that the Yemeni people have risen up, they are backing the president of this country…, but they must be aware that they will be brought to their knees one day,” Sediqi told worshipers at the Tehran University campus on Friday.
Commenting on the bloody unrest in Bahrain, Sediqi said that what the Bahraini and Saudi Arabian officials did with the oppressed people of Bahrain is similar to what the Zionist regime did in Gaza.
On the situation on the ground in Libya, the cleric said that unfortunately the Libyan civilians have been the target of both the NATO-led airstrikes and the attacks by the forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Sediqi also said, “Maybe the Westerners have reached an agreement with Gaddafi behind the scene and plan to make the war one of attrition.”
However, the Libyan people should not give up and must know that resistance will lead to victory, he added.
“The final victory is with the people”, Sediqi concluded.
